~ Prevention is the best Medicine ~

Click to hear a short message from Julie!

Our goal is to share personal health "train wrecks" and how we have been able to turn our situations around using preventive, natural approaches.  We believe resorting to medical treatment/medication should be a last resort, not our first "go to".  Click on the audio button above to hear more details of our story.

We've been successful in turning our health around naturally in the following areas:  1) high cholesterol, 2) colitis, 3) hypo-thyroidism, 4) sleeping through the night, 5) minimizing and removing aches in joints, 6) increasing flexibility, 7) slowing the aging process, 8) gout, 9) back aches/stiffness.  See Julie's articles for more details.

It's seems most problems can be cured/prevented by proper nutrition. Rather than follow the FDA guidelines for minimum daily allowances, follow guideline for optimal health. For example, the RDA for fruit and vegetables is 5-7 servings. The RDA for optimal health is 10-13 servings.

We have been active in sports our entire lives.  Julie was an All-American NCAA Swimmer in College and has her BS in Mechanical Engineering.  She worked in that field for 10 years before coming home to start a family. She is now a fulltime wife to the love of her life and a homeschool mom to their 9 & 10 year old boys.

We believe glucosamine, plus proper nutrition, has extended our active lives.  We both have been playing broomball on ice for over 23 years, and enjoying sail boarding, underwater hockey, off-road biking and hiking.  We took up snow boarding as a family this past winter.  Every told us we were crazy but it was a very fun family activity...once we got past the first few days of bunny hill training!

Lance is Physicist by degree and works as a Process Engineer for a Midwest Fortune 500 company.  He is a very hands-on Dad and reads classical books to our boys nearly every night.

We believe in never stop learning and have subscribed to a leadership training system for the past several years. The goal of this leadership organization is to teach the truth.  We currently subscribe to TEAM Leadership International (www.the-team.biz) which was put together by two of the top 30 rated Leadership Gurus (www.leadershipgurus.net).

We also have found that the best way to insure optimal nutrition is to supplement. After becoming tired of popping pills and drinking unpalatable juices, our research led us to Mona Vie (www.the-team.biz/mv896559).   We have experienced tremendous health benefit from drinking Mona Vie. See Julie's article on "Why NOT to juice".

Politics ~ Easy as PIE
Julie Vrieze
Politics really is "Easy as PIE". I absolutely love pie, but have never liked politics - or even tried to understand economics until I heard this simple explanation. This is just a brief outline I put together - I encourage you to get your hands on this former congressman's books, CDs and DVDs. Maybe you'll decide you like PIE too! Our world would definately be a much healthier and better place if more people liked and understood PIE...Look through all the non-sense political talk, and focus on PIE. Pie always clears my mind, makes me relax, and it's always great to share PIE with others! . . . keep reading

.....
I really liked your article on grass fed beef. We raised our own a few years ago, a Scottish Highlander. It was really fun. Highlander meat is very lean and high in Omega oils. They are fascinating animals, very good natured and easy to take care of.
